Training

At PetSuites, we use positive reinforcement, reward-based training to help your dog learn and thrive. We focus on rewarding the behaviors we like, while gently redirecting and teaching alternative actions to manage less desirable behaviors.

We know every dog and owner are unique, which is why we offer flexible training options to fit your schedule. Whether you want to actively participate in your dog’s training or prefer drop-off services to give your dog a head start, we have a solution for you.

No matter which option you choose, consistent practice at home is essential—and we’re here to provide the skills and tools you need to meet your training goals. Schedule a free training evaluation today to find out what service works best for you and your dog!

Drop Off Services

Our drop-off training services are designed to give your dog a strong foundation in essential behaviors. While our trainers do the heavy lifting by teaching and reinforcing key skills, this does not replace your involvement at home. To maintain and build on the training, it's important for you to work with your dog and practice the behaviors we introduce.

Our goal is to set you and your dog up for success by establishing a solid base of behaviors, but your participation is key to ensuring long-term results. Think of it as a team effort—our trainers teach, and you help your dog master the skills!

Stay and Study

Our Stay and Study program is a comprehensive board and train experience designed to give your dog a strong foundation in essential behaviors. Your dog will stay with us for 2, 3, or 4 weeks, depending on your training goals, and during this time, we’ll focus on building and reinforcing key skills. Each week, your dog’s abilities will improve as we increase the complexity of cues, distance, duration, and ability to work around distractions.

Throughout the program, we’ll keep you updated on your dog’s progress with regular reports. When it’s time for pick-up, we’ll provide a personalized transfer lesson to demonstrate what your dog has learned and guide you on continuing the training at home. You'll also receive a go-home packet with all the information you need to maintain your dog’s new skills.

Stay and Study offers a structured and rewarding training experience to help your dog succeed!

Tutor Sessions

Tutor sessions are 1-on-1 training sessions where our trainer works with your dog during their day at daycare or while they’re boarding with us. This flexible add-on service allows you to decide what specific behaviors you’d like your dog to focus on, and our trainer will create a custom plan to help meet your goals.

No previous training is required for your dog to participate, and Tutor sessions can easily be added to your dog’s regular daycare or boarding routine. We also offer package options for our daycare guests, making it even more convenient to build consistent training into your dog’s schedule.

This is our #1 most popular service among group play and daycare guests, thanks to its flexibility! After each session, you’ll receive a recap from the trainer, along with optional homework exercises and handouts to continue practicing at home.

Tutor sessions are a great way to keep your dog learning and progressing!

30 Minute Refresher

Does your dog just need a quick refresh on behaviors they’ve already learned with us? Our 30-Minute Refresher Training is the perfect way to brush up on those skills! Whether it’s practicing a solid “sit” before meals, refining leash manners, or reinforcing that reliable recall, this session allows our trainer to help your dog revisit and strengthen what they already know.

This service is designed specifically for existing clients whose dogs need a little tune-up on behaviors learned during prior training with us—it’s not for teaching new cues or behaviors. Add this refresher during your pet’s next stay to keep them sharp and on track!

Chaperone Service

Need a little extra help making sure your dog shines in group play? Our Chaperone Service is here to help! In this fun and focused 1-hour session, one of our professional trainers will accompany your dog during group play, working on positive interruptions and redirecting unwanted behaviors.

Whether your dog needs a little help with manners or could use some extra support to feel confident around other pups, we’ll be right there to guide them, making sure they have a great time while learning valuable social skills. Let us help your dog be the best playmate they can be!
